The Toro Intelli-Sense™ ET-enabled controllers
provide a powerful and accurate water management control system by ensuring
that a landscape receives the precise amount of water it needs – no more, no
less – based on daily weather data. Site
specific questions take the guesswork out of establishing a baseline watering
program for each zone. Data is collected
from more than 17,000 weather stations throughout the U.S. and is
then combined with data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA). Results are
calculated and converted to location specific evapo-transpiration (ET) data with
precision down to 1 square kilometer.
Current ET data is then broadcast to Intelli-Sense™ controllers through
the ET Everywhere wireless service (1-800-362-8774) to provide the broadest and
most up-to-date weather information.
Competing methodology simply increases or
decreases watering times on a daily basis.
